Vazhaipoo Vadai (Plantain flower vadai)

Vazhai poo vadai is a special snack done in South India. I tried this vadai and it came out well. Lets have a look on the ingredients required.
Ingredients:
  •  Vazhaipoo (Plantain flower) - 1 cup
  •  Kadalai parupu (Bengal gram) - 2 tbsp
  •  Thuvaram paruppu (Red gram) - 2 tbsp
  •  Vengayam (Onion) - 1 big size (finely chopped)
  •  Pachchamilagai (Green mirchi) - 2 no(sliced)
  •  Karuvepillai (Curry leaves)
  •  Koththamalli thazhai (Coriander leaves)
  •  Milagai Thool ( Red mirchi powder) - 1 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Oil - for frying
You can also add ginger garlic and fennel seeds.
Method: 
- Soak the two Paruppu said above for nearly 1/2 hr.
- Clean the Vazhai poo by removing the stamens and pressure cook it.
- Grind the paruppu with the Vazhaipoo to a course paste.
- In a bowl add Vengayam, Pachcha milagai, grinded paste and mix well.
- Add Milagai thool, Salt, koththamalli and karuvepillai.
- Mix well without adding water.
- Make small thin balls of the dough.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry them.
 Serve with coconut chutney.
