Pottu kadalai Podi



Pottu kadalai  (In Tamil language) seen in picture is a variety of Bengal gram. It is protein rich. Powdered Pottukadalai with sugar is a good snack. Pottukadalai Podi  is a famous Andhra variety known as Putnalu podi.


Ingredients:
  • Pottu kadalai - 250 grams
  • Thengai Thuruval (Grated Coconut) - 100 grams
  • Segappu Milagai (Redmirchi) - 20 nos
  • Seeragam (Cumin)-1 spoon
  • Poondu (Garlic)-75 grams
  • Salt -to taste
Note:  Frying any ingredients in flame is not required for this podi.
Procedure:
- Grind Pottu kadalai and Segappu milagai.
- Now add Seeragam,coconut and grind.
- Then add Poondu,Salt and powder well.
- Mix well and its ready.

Add the Pottu kadalai podi  with ghee or oil in steamed rice and eat.
