Kara Pori is a simple evening snack.My Dad would prepare this very often and ofcourse a specialist in doing Kara Pori.
Ingredients:
Pori - a cup
Corn flakes (plain) - a handfull
Appalam (Papad) - one (break into small pieces)
Poondu (Garlic) - 4 cloves
Segappu Milagai Thul (Red mirchi powder) - 1 tbsp
Manjal Thul (Turmeric Powder) - a pinch
Karuvepillai (Curry leaves)
Kadugu (Mustard)
Seeragam (Cumin)
Salt
Oil - a little
Method:
Cook time: 10 minutes
- In a pan add a little amount of oil.
- Add kadugu ,Seeragam.
- When Kadugu splutters, add Poondu ,Karuvepillai.
- Saute well and add broken Appalam pieces and Corn flakes.
- Allow them to roast.
- Now add Manjal thul,Milagai thul .
- Add the Pori now and sprinkle the required salt.
- Mix well.
KARA PORI is now ready to eat.Serve with a cup of Tea.
